Chamomile is a medicinal herb that has been known since ancient times. It is widely used in cosmetic preparations for its soothing and softening effects on the skin¹. People who are allergic to the Compositae (Asteraceae) family of plants should not use chamomile.

Licorice root is well known for its sweet taste, but its antioxidant properties are less known. Its extract has been shown to protect the skin from oxidative stress², which may slow the appearance of aging³.

+  Meadowsweet (Filipendula Ulmaria)
